I love getting dressed up to go out and there no better time for a party than Christmas… I did a poll on my insta story (@hannahbethblogs hmu) and the majority wanted a Christmas make up essentials, so I guess I’m not alone!
My first essential isn’t technically make up but at the moment I can’t live without my Aveeno moisturiser. I’m really struggling with my skin at them moment, as I have eczema which has flared up due to a mixture of stress and the weather, and I’m currently having to moisture several times a day, so I 100% couldn’t live with out it!
Next is a make up palette that I tend to reach for every time I do my make up at the moment. This is the Tanya Burr Beautifully Defined palette from her 2016 Christmas collection. I was given this palette for Christmas last year, and as it was part of her gifting range, this specific one is no longer available, however she has brought out a similar palette this year.
An olden but a good’un, I love the Maybelline Great Lash mascara. Technically, I use this all year round, but I’ve found it essential the past few weeks to make me look a little less like an alien when I wake up in the dark mornings. To be fair, I’ve not tried many other mascaras but they do say if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
I do also love a bold lip for the party season and one of my personal faves is Marks and Spencer’s Rosie for Autograph lipstick in Silk Rose. I’ve loved this for a long time and think it’s the perfect party shade… but it also is available in several other beautiful shades. On top of that, the packaging is stunning so it’s definitely a great addition to your make up collection!
One final thing I love is the seventeen cheek blush stamp. I actually owe myself a new one of these because I’ve used mine so much. The only thing I will stay is sometimes I avoid using the stamp as it can transfer way too much product onto your cheeks and you end up looking like one of those creepy china dolls.
If you try and of the products I’ve mentioned on these posts, please do let me know what you think! Similarly if you have any winter make up essentials you couldn’t live without, I’d love to know what they are!
Happy 4th day of blogmas!
