If you follow me on instagram (@hannahbethblogs, hit me up) or on twitter (same handle!) then you may have seen me asking for your questions, and now it’s time for me to answer them!
Why did you start blogging?
For a really long time I’ve wanted to have a YouTube channel, but I’ve never had the confidence to start making videos. I’ve always hated the way my voice sounds and the way I look, so blogging seemed like a good way to still do the things that I wanted to do – that is, join a community and talk about things that I love – without having to face my insecurities.
Who are your favourite bloggers?
There are so many! In terms of “bigger” bloggers I love Beth Sandland, petiteelliee and Laura’s Little Locket, but my favourite bloggers are actually Jess Louise (@jessblogs on instagram) and bethxkate. I’m extremely proud to call them my friends and never miss a post! Definitely check out both of their blogs, I promise you won’t regret it.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
There are two places at the top of my list and I think they probably couldn’t be more different. I’d love to go to New York. I’ve never actually been out of Europe and would love to visit America. I love big, busy cities, and there’s nowhere bigger or busier than New York! The other place is Sweden. Scandinavia has been top of my to-visit list for several years and I’ve always been slightly fascinated by Sweden. As you can see, I’m not a big fan of hot weather – I can never seem to avoid sunburn!
Favourite school subject?
I’ve never really had a favourite, to be honest! I’m really passionate about languages – I take two for GCSE (French and German) and I’m planning on carrying them both on to A level next year, and possibly even further. I also really enjoy History, although I find the stuff that’s happened in the last 200 years or so much more exciting!
What’s your dream job?
I’m hoping to study Law at university but my dream job would probably be a wedding planner. I’d be hopeless at it, because I’m not in the least bit creative, but I love a good wedding and will jump at any excuse to go to one!
If you had a million pounds, what would you buy first?
A house, obviously. And then lots of chocolate, and maybe another dog, if I feel like treating myself. And I’d put the rest in the bank.
A brand you’ve always wanted to buy from?
Really, there are a few answers to this question but the one I’ve really wanted to try for a very long time is Benefit. I’ve heard such good things about their products and they all look so great. I’d also love to try Charlotte Tilbury in the future, as well as Bobbi Brown, but for now I’m very happy with sticking to Barry M and Makeup Revolution.
Chocolate, any kind, not picky. I have a rule that I should never turn down chocolate, although the best kind is obviously Lindt, and I also love a bit of Milka. Having said I’m not picky, I don’t really like Cadbury’s Dairy Milk, but that’s not to say I’d turn it down, if you’re offering.
What are your future plans?
Firstly, I’d like to pass my GCSEs… that would be a good start! I’d like to do French, German, History and (possibly) Economics at A Level and after that I’m hoping to study Law with foreign Law at university. I’d also really like to have children in the next 15 years or so, if all goes to plan!
What is your favourite song at the moment?
This constantly changes! I’m loving I Did Something Bad from Taylor Swift’s reputation album, but my all time favourite by her is Safe and Sound. Really, my song taste is very random – I love Don’t Leave by Snakehips & MØ and also Catfish and the Bottlemen’s Outside. Don’t Look Back in Anger is a classic, as is Afire Love by Ed Sheeran (one of a few by him…) and I’m definitely here for Perfect Places by Lorde. I just can’t choose!
Thank you to everyone who asked questions, I hope you’ve enjoyed learning a bit more about me and if you want me to do something similar again in the future, then remember to give this post a like! I’d also love to know what your answers would be so let me know in the comments!
Lots of love,
