Well, it’s been a while! A-levels have been really tough lately and the lack of sleep is definitely taking its toll on my skin, so I’ve been making a bit more effort than usual on my skincare. There are a few products that I use literally every day and all of them are drugstore and extremely affordable, so I thought I’d share those with you today!
I have used this cream for years and years and just keep coming back to it because it’s so soft and light on my skin. I apply it to my cheeks, neck and eyelids in the morning and evening because this is where my skin tends to get most dry, but avoid my forehead and chin, where I usually get breakouts. If my eczema is particularly bad, I sometimes will use hydrocortisone or a stronger prescribed cream, especially for my hands, but as long as I moisturise regularly, I don’t have to do this often!
Cath Kidston Meadow Posy Hand Cream
This is one that you guys could possibly help me with – the best hand cream I’ve ever used was actually a discovery from last year’s March Birchbox. It’s ‘fragranced with notes of jasmine and orange flower’ which smells absolutely divine and it’s a lovely thick texture which absorbs easily. The problem? It was a limited edition and hasn’t been available for agessss and I haven’t been able to find anything I like as much since. So, if you’ve got any hand cream recommendations, drop your suggestions in the comments below – I’m getting desperate!
Superdrug Face Masks
This is a little broad, I know, but Superdrug facemasks are my all time favourites. I tend to avoid the peel-off ones, but apart from that, I love them all. They do a wide variety for all different skin types and they’re always on 3 for 2, which means you get 3 for just £1.99 so they’re super affordable as well. My particular favourites are the Superfruits Exfoliating Mask and the Sugar & Spice Self Heating Mask, both of which smell divine and leave my skin feeling so soft. I use them 1-2 times a week and you tend to get at least two uses out of each packet which is great. I’d really recommend checking this range out.
Superdrug Essential Facial Cleansing Wipes
I use these in the evenings whenever I’ve been wearing makeup during the day (which is most days during term time!) because they feel really lovely on the skin and remove all my makeup so easily. I do have a bit of a love/hate relationship with disposable facial wipes because I am aware of how bad they are for the environment so if you guys have any suggestions for more eco-friendly alternatives, I’d really love if you could let me know in the comments down below!
Garnier Micellar Gel Face Wash
I have used this for a while now, and I use it pretty much every day, to get rid of those last bits of makeup and just to cleanse. I prefer this gel to any micellar waters I’ve tried because it just feels so much more substantial and makes my skin feel lovely and clean. It also has a little pump on the bottle so it’s a lot easier to use than some of the other face washes I’ve tried and it’s relatively affordable compared to a lot of other skincare products – and it’s currently on buy one get one half price
I hope you enjoyed today’s post – let me know in the comments if there are any products you think I should try out and don’t forget to give this post a like if you’ve enjoyed it! Make sure to follow my blog as well, so that you get updates every time I post – I promise there’ll be a new one ASAP!
